ACORE Member Day events are open only to employees of ACORE Member Organizations. Member Day, taking place at The Newseum, on March 27, 2014, is composed of ACORE member workshops, coupled with a Member Luncheon and the Annual Membership Meeting, followed by the 11th Annual ACORE National Policy Forum Opening Reception as the Columbus Club in Union Station. In order to attend Member Day activities, ACORE Members are requested to pre-register for ACORE's National Policy Forum, and select the member workshops they would like to attend.

As the U.S. Department of Defense moves forward with its renewable energy goals, it is important for military officials, the renewable energy industry, and policymakers to communicate openly and regularly about present opportunities and challenges. Join us for a conversation with key stakeholders to discuss the policy landscape for military renewables and what industry can do to help move along the military’s project pipeline.

Transportation Workshop
During this panel discussion, guest speakers representing government and industry entities will discuss the ever evolving transportation industry. In particular, they will evaluate how policies and technological advances in the transportation sector are leading to safer and more efficient transit opportunities, improved environmental impacts, and lower costs.

Power Generation & Infrastructure Initiative
The recently launched Ivanpah solar farm, one of the world's largest solar projects ever, was the result of a collaboration between some of the world's leading renewable energy companies in partnership with the Department of Energy.  The 392 MW Ivanpah solar CSP project reflects the importance of public-private partnerships, effective government policy, and industry finance and innovation.  Please join with participants in the Ivanpah project to discuss the renewable energy policy and finance landscape, including the DOE Loan Program, and the relationship of the groundbreaking Ivanpah project to the scale-up of renewable energy.
